Reed Davis, MD

Associate Program Director
Reed Davis is a physician at the Baptist Oxford Internal Medicine Clinic and the Associate Program Director of the Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi Internal Medicine Residency. He was born and raised in Mississippi, spending his time in both the greater Jackson area and the gulf coast. He migrated north to Oxford for undergraduate studies and graduated from the University of Mississippi in the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College with a degree in Biochemistry and subsequently completed medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Davis then moved to Charlottesville, Virginia for his internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia. While there, he won the Dunn Award from his peers given in recognition for both skill in the technical aspects of medicine and the qualities of thoughtfulness, patience, and caring. Reed was additionally given the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award which recognizes physicians in training who are especially competent, compassionate, kind, responsible and concerned for the welfare of patients; are extraordinary teachers and role models; are self-reflective about their own ongoing formation as physicians; and demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all they do.
After completing residency, Reed as well as his wife, Abby, and daughter, Norah, moved to Oxford and are excited to be a part of such a wonderful community and place. Reed is particularly interested in chronic disease management, disease prevention, and helping patients meet their goals.
