BMH-NM medical staff physicians provide guidance on Parkinson’s, Chronic Kidney Disease

Two members of the Baptist North Mississippi Medical Staff and Internal Medicine Residency faculty provided insight and education from their fields of specialty during recent presentations.

Megan Edwards, DO, with Oxford Neurology Clinic, gave a lecture on March 15, 2022, focused on updates in Parkinson’s and outlines for new treatments. This marked the second lecture she has delivered to the program, as well as supporting resident physicians on elective rotations in Neurology.

Nate Bell, DO, with Oxford Nephrology & Hypertension Associates, presented to the program on March 31, 2022, on “Chronic Kidney Disease for the Internist.” Dr. Bell provide an overview of important nephrology topics, nephrology referral indications, CKD preparation for dialysis, types and complications of Dialysis, and renal transplant. Resident physicians in the BMH-NM IM program have also enjoyed time with Dr. Bell and his partners on Nephrology elective rotations.
